AMERICAN Revolution
- What was happening? In the 17 hundreds the Americans didn’t have a lot of friends, the british thought that the Americans were a troublesome group, since they stirred up trouble with the french and the native people. The americans and British people weren’t getting along in 1765 Because the americans didn’t want to pay a small tax fee that the british requested, So it started a conflict. What was the conflict?: The Americans and the British were not seeing eye to eye. The Americans tried to take over Quebec in Canada but failed, And the failure to seize Quebec convinced the Canadians remained loyal to the British, But the men that help the Americans was the French. What is the context of the time?: The time that this conflict happened was 1765 and when it ended it was 1783. This was an 18 year war before this conflict ended.
- Who were the players? The British, The Americans, The Canadians, The French, The natives in the 18 Year war, North America vs. the British Empire.
- What was happening around human rights: The Americans made a declaration that all men were allowed to vote and have rights that the government can’t take away, But the slaves and women can’t vote or have these rights.
- What was significant about these stages of the development on our understanding of human rights? It inspired other countries to have their own revolution like France, including those men and women who overthrew King louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution.
- How did our views of people change? The views of our people changed because they now knew that they had rights and the government could not take those rights away, and every man could vote but not the woman and slaves.
- Were there any limitations to the human rights "developed". The African-Americans were still slaves and Women could not vote. There was a rule about being rich and being poor.
- What effects do you think these events have on us today? United States of america Owns all of it’s states because in the 17 hundreds new york was owned by the britons. Canada is owned by the British. If the American Revolution Didn’t happen, then most of America would be owned by the British.
Don't forget that your main purpose is to answer the CCQ: How do revolutions improve our lives (or not), and do they facilitate human rights? Revolutions improve our lives and they don’t at the same time. If we didn’t have the American Revolution Most of America Would be apart of Britain. The French revolution made the french help America Against Britain. In the time of the 18 hundreds after the 18 year war ended Now every man could vote, But women and slaves were not allowed.
